Amsterdam will be the first city to host “The Infinite Wheel of Time” on 14-28 June. Taking place at Vrij Paleis, our exhibition will be in 2 waves, alongside a full programme of performances, screenings and presentations with works of Ana Vals, Risja Steeghs, Raoul Rade, Allen Caldeira, Vanja & Natasha Dimitrova, Valentina Stocco, Djura Hight, Mademoiselle Chocolat, Skye Phillips, Tashi Iwaoka, and performances by Gabor Hartyani, James Hewitt & Camille Verhaak; curated by Jimena Mendizábal del Moral & Candy Choi

Artist Talk: ‘A Bridge Too Far (Rebuilt)’ by Tashi Iwaoka

To mark the beginning of the durational performance ‘A Bridge Too Far’, artist Tashi Iwaoka will talk about his inspiration and the research he has been carrying out around the restoration of Fukushima from 2011 to 2012, including footage and interviews with people working in the area and the short film ‘Ambiguous Loss’ by the Tokyo based film director Toru Yamada.

Grounds Through the Ages – Concert with The Scroll Ensemble

This performance presents improvisations on songs in a variety of styles from the middle ages to today. The performers will take melodies like ‘greensleeves’ or ‘summertime’ to give a historical tour through music of the last few hundred years and showing the similarities shared by all.

Time Field or The Eternal Garden of Time – Music & Theatre performance with DaMu Collective

We generally understand time as moving forward, but what if we are the ones moving forward through it like walking through a park, and it all depends on the path which we take? This performance plays with the possibility of understanding time as a multidimensional space where we create our own path depending on the options and defined by a myriad of open possibilities.
